About Annie

As human beings, we wear many hats whether that is a full time student, a beautician, a professional model, a professional actor... It is then when we truly think to our-self what is it that I was truly meant to become I call it self discovery. Yes one of the most interesting pathway I have to say, and many who reads this hopefully you find yourself in the same shoe, or could relate or even know someone who is currently figuring it out if this is you,  keep reading.

The moment I was ready to find my true passion and purposes I knew what it took to grow and develop the key word is when you are READY and with patience!

I always knew, as human beings we are meant to become a lifelong learner just like continuing my education and finally becoming a newly mental health clinician, and a self-publish author--that inspires many young upcoming professionals like yourself. A lifelong advocate and supporter for under-serve, marginalized communities, because I understand that I was once in the same position,  as if I already knew exactly what God had planned for me? If you are still figuring out do not worry the good news is, you are not alone and you are not who you are 10 years ago, or even 5 years ago.2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, all things have become new."  I came to understand that believers in Christ undergo a transformation, moving from a former state to a new, renewed existence. The concept of "old things passing away" refers to the old ways of thinking, living, and behaving that are replaced by the new ways of the Spirit. This includes letting go of past mistakes, resentments, and desires that no longer serve God's purpose. And that this new creation is not just a change, but a complete renewal, a new beginning. It's a transformation that extends to every aspect of a person's life, both inwardly and outwardly.

Spiritual Transformation: This signifies a fundamental shift in a person's relationship with God and with the world.

After graduating from the University of North Carolina in 2025 with my Master in Social Work I was inspired by many mentors, and mental health professionals and the people I had the chance to encounter with in this field. I learned so much about mental health and the impact it has on our marginalized populations children and families health and wellbeing. I became drawn to the field of therapy and went on to get my Clinical Licensed to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (A-LCSW, 2024), a Certified Licensed School Social Worker (LSSW, 2024) , and got certified as a Child Welfare Social Worker (CWEC) to gain training about Trauma Informed Care since 2023. To learn that I could be a part of a bigger community to work towards creating a safe, strong, supportive environment by educating,  understanding and helping to grow a vision with a mission.

I believe healing is rooted in learning about one's past and history, and experiences. Healing is rooted in modeling positive and healthy relationships, it is engaging in training in mental health, gaining knowledge, growth, understanding, inclusive, compassion, innovation, and access healthcare tools and resources. To help people with challenges because people make the community. The goal is to see you, to understand you and to work with you. The good news is, you are not alone.
